Opening Date Rumor for Rivers of Light in Animal Kingdom

After months and months of waiting we finally have an opening date rumor for Rivers of Light, the new nighttime spectacular show in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  I now looks like the opening date will be November 18, 2016.  Rivers of Light was originally supposed to debut on April 22nd 2016 but various technical problems have setback the date.

The show will take place on Discovery River between Discovery Island and Expedition Everest and will include performers, floating barges and lanterns, lights, fountains all celebrating the magic of animals and humans.

This date isn’t set in stone and hasn’t yet been confirmed by Disney, but it seems that’s what they’re aiming at.  If the date really is Nov 22nd, then Disney should be making an announcement in the very near future.

I’m looking forward to this so much, many people who have actually seen the show say it’s incredible and it has the potential to be the best nighttime show at Walt Disney World.  While I’m not sure I believe that at least it’s a good sign and better than the Jungle Book nighttime show we had in the meantime.
