VIDEO: Pandora The World of Avatar Inspiration Behind the Details

Pandora The World of Avatar InspirationDisney has been sharing many videos with us about its newest land in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  Today it shared a video that explains the Pandora The World of Avatar inspiration behind the details of this fantastic place!

The Disney imagineers and designers went traveling around the globe to find the inspiration they needed to make Pandora feel as real and authentic as possible.  They studied other cultures from land such as Bali and Jakarta where they learned crafts from local artisans such as carving and weaving, that they could then adapt to the story of Pandora.  The total attention to detail from be design stage to the final product is truly remarkable and they certain cut no corners in looking to create the most immersive guest experience a Disney park has yet to have.

You can watch Joe Rohde and the rest of his crew explaining the lengths they went to creating Pandora’s mountains, waterfalls and forest in this video:

I love the fact that they wanted to not create rides but a whole world with secret paths and different interactive things you won’t find on the guide map.  It makes for a guest experience that’s different every time and keeps people coming back.

You just have a short couple weeks left until you can go explore Pandora The World of Avatar for yourself as it opens May 27th!
