I know everyone is eagerly anticipating May 27th!! Why you ask? For the Official Opening of Pandora: The World of Avatar? No. For the Opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission BREAKOUT! ? Try again. You thought you could make it through the whole Summer without him?? Think again! Stitch’s Great Escape! is returning to the Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland for the whole Summer, May 27th – August 19th from 10am to 6pm.
Stitch’s Great Escape has been open on a seasonal basis since last October when the park gets real crowed and more attractions are needed. This too should just be a temporary situation.
The long-term future for Stitch’s Great Escape is still unclear, but usually when attractions go seasonal they don’t have much time left. One of the rumors is that Stitch’s Great Escape will eventually replaced by a Wreck-it Ralph attraction, probably an indoor racing ride, but Disney hasn’t commented on it yet. It would make sense though with Wreck-it Ralph 2 coming out in 2018, it would be nice to have the brand represented in the parks. We’ll see what’s in store, so enjoy Stitch while you can! 😉
