New Details about the UP Show in Animal Kingdom from Casting Call

New Details UP Show Animal KingdomSince the new UP show which is replacing Flights of Wonder and coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom was announced a couple weeks ago, we haven’t heard any info about the show.  But according to a casting call from Disney they are looking for female actors with a strong dance and movement skills.  Some other information was put in the casting posting:

“Anika: A young woman who lives in the Anandapur Indian village and spends her time as a caretaker of birds in the Caravan aviary. She is the descendent of a Maharani, a free-spirit, and the storyteller in her proud family. Her movement and language are colorful and expressive. She is personable, playful, and at home in nature.”

This new show will have Senior Wilderness Explorer Russell and his furry friend Dug as they discover species of birds from around the world in their newest adventure at the Caravan Theater in Anandapur village.

We still don’t know when the start of the new UP show is except: “beginning just in time for the 20th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom next year”.  As soon as we find out more details we’ll let you know.

If you want to see Flights of Wonder once last time, make sure to get to the Animal Kingdom this Sunday, December 31st, as that will be the final show!
