“Highway in the Sky Dine Around” Dining Experience Coming to Magic Kingdom Loop

Highway in the Sky Dine Around

One of my favorite dining experiences in Walt Disney World is the Monorail Bar Crawl, riding the monorail around the Magic Kingdom Loop and getting out at each of the Resorts to stop and have a drink at one bar in each resort.  Well now Disney has upped the ante and is offering a similar brand new dining experience entitled: “Highway in the Sky Dine Around”.

This is an 5 course all-inclusive dining package in which you don’t have to make any plans, just sit back and let Disney take you on an amazing evening around the Seven Seas Lagoon.  This new “Highway in the Sky Dine Around” gives guests priority seating on the monorail and takes them to the Contemporary Resort, the Polynesian Village Resort and the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

The first stop is at Disney’s Contemporary Resort at “The Wave…of American Flavors” for a welcome cocktail, then you board the monorail which will take you to Disney’s Polynesian Resort to celebrate the spirit of the South Pacific with island-inspired sips and appetizers.

After that it’s back on the monorail, this time to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa where you’ll be dining at the award-winning Citricos for a delicious Entrée with Wine Pairing.  After dinner it’s to the beautifully elegant lobby to sample artisanal cheeses and sip sparkling wine.

The last stop will be back to the Contemporary, this time on a Private Patio where you will watch the Wishes Fireworks at the Magic Kingdom as you have dessert, cordials and coffee.  This to me is the coolest part, and people are always asking for unique Disney World Fireworks viewings, this will be one of them and an experience you can do, especially for a special occasion like an engagement or an anniversary dinner.

Highway in the Sky Dine Around

I don’t know how long this special package will last, but “Highway in the Sky Dine Around” is offered Tuesday, Friday and Sunday beginning Dec. 2.  Reservations open Nov. 29. (No dine-around between Dec. 23 and Dec. 31). Cost is $150 gratuity included, tax is additional, which to me isn’t a terrible value for the awesome food and the uniqueness of it all.  Valet parking is included.  For reservations, 407-WDW-DINE.

If you enjoyed this article, as always I appreciate it if you’d share it with others via social media.  I work hard at making this website into a useful resource for you and your family to plan your visit to Walt Disney World, and I hope it can help you! Thanks 🙂
